Apple Security understands the unique challenges of ensuring hospital premises stay secure 24 hours a day, while allowing busy staff and patients to go about their business with as few interruptions as possible.
The company also has expertise in managing the security of new builds at busy working hospitals.
Because of the close location of the new build next to existing hospital buildings, full access control was needed, and the attendance of a large number of contractors needed to be closely monitored. It was also a requirement that all contractors receive a health & safety briefing before entering the site for the first time.
Apple Security developed a swipe card entry system using three turnstiles with an officer supervising them. Vehicles were tagged providing full access and movement control. This allowed full reporting of footfall and attendance to the client.
Each contractor was required to go through a health & safety briefing before getting their entry ID card. And a full emergency procedure was developed to comply with strict hospital evacuation plans.
