Apple Security has a great deal of experience working with manufacturers. The company understands that with profit margins being tighter than ever, manufacturers want to concentrate on their core production issues, and not have to worry about peripheral issues such as security or reception cover.
Yet they also don’t want their product to walk out of the door, or suffer the facilities being damaged by vandals.
The existing security company didn’t supervise its employees properly. As a result there was a high level of theft from the site. The existing security personnel were no longer suitable for a changing role that needed to include reception duties.
Apple Security took on the existing staff under TUPE employee transfer, and moved them to more suitable roles within the company. It then recruited a better team who were trained to higher levels of security and customer service, allowing them to take on reception duties.
To ensure the client was always kept in touch with security issues and developments, a comprehensive programme of contact was put in place. The security supervisor reported to the client daily; the contracts manager weekly; and Apple Security’s senior managers met with the client monthly.
